The SGPA Galleries

This is where you will find iamges we've gathered over the years, related to the SGPA. Each year, we'll update the galleries as we get new pictures.

If you see a picture that you think is yours, but it doesn't have proper credit, please email us and we'll remedy the situation immediately. This also is applicable if there is a picture of you and you'd like the caption changed.

The Disjointed Chiefs of Staff -- aka The Celebrities. These are pictures of General George with the various actors that attend Gatecon. It's become something of a quest for us to get George with the new celebs each year.

Honorary Members -- These people aren't actors, but are certainly people we wanted to honour by getting their pictures taken with General George.

Members -- These are the con attendees, the regular folk that come and help us reach our goals each year, by bringing and/or sponsoring the stuffies we donate each year. Without you guys, we couldn't do a quarter of what we do each year.

Presentations to Teryl -- Each year, the C4 of Gatecon have graciously allowed us to do a presentation to Teryl.

  • 2001 -- This one took place between the costume contest and the charity auction on Saturday night. Dan Mornar, our contact over at BCCH, brought 4 kids and their parents along for our inaugural presentation.
  • 2002 -- In 2002, we were allowed to "surprise" Teryl at the end of her panel on Sunday morning. And we finally got a shot of her with George.
  • 2003 -- In 2003, we again "surprised" Teryl on Sunday morning, at the end of her panel with Don S. Davis & Martin Wood. We did however completely surprise her with the fact that Dan Mornar came again with 3 kids, including adorable little Haley.

  • 2005 -- In 2005, both Teryl and Dan Mornar were unable to attend the presentation, but we did have Jared Brick, Aaron Gagan, & Shaun Evans, three of the teen mentor/survivors, come to the presentation. It was also in 2005 that we retired GeneralGeorge as our mascot & introduced Georgia Ann as our new mascot.

The 2003 Memory Book -- Each year, we make a memory book for Teryl, with new information about the SGPA, notes for Teryl from the fans at the con, and pictures of the stuffies collected that year. Foolishly, we never took pictures of these memory books until 2003. Jenn put a lot of work into that book, and considering how we'd geared the 2003 drive to center around thanking Teryl for all she's done, we wanted a visual reminder for others to see what had been done.

The 2003 Autographed Stuffy Lucky Dip -- In 2002, we managed to get several of the actors to sign stuffies that somehow corresponded to their squads. In 2003, we did a "lucky dip" for people to win these autographed stuffies. It was quite amusing for all involved.

Just George -- These are a couple shots from 2001 of our mascot, General George.

2005 Miscellaneous Shots -- These are a variety of misc. shots taken, mainly of the charity auction and Sekh's Party.
